MARIJEAN ALICE EXTROM

1932 - 2022

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Marijean Alice Extrom was born June 4,1932, in Chicago, to William and Alice (nee Petersen) Dahlborn. She died October 11, 2022, at her home in Arlington Heights. Marijean is survived by her children, Daniel Extrom (Jean Greco), James Extrom, Janice Sheridan (Richard Sheridan), and Sharon Extrom. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Chinski, Michael Chinski, Kacie Sheridan Sanchez (Micheal Sanchez), Kylie Sheridan Rack (Michael Rack), Jake Sheridan, Kristen Extrom, Lauren Extrom, and Brendon Slattery; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Chinski, Wesley Chinski, and Ridley Sheridan Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Extrom; and her brother, William Dahlborn. Marijean was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A lifelong reader and learner, one of her proudest achievements was graduating from Roosevelt University at age fifty-six. Marijean loved the theatre and enjoyed performing on stage and at family gatherings. She cherished her multiple fur babies, was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed crafting, and spending time at their beautiful log home in Wisconsin. Marijean worshipped and served at The Orchard Church in Arlington Heights for over fifty years, devoting her time and care to women's ministries, teaching Bible Study, ushering, and tending to the infants in the nursery.
