Marilyn Marie Barber

Mrs. Marilyn Marie (Ruble) Barber, age 71, entered this life on November 18, 1954 in St. Albans, New York. She was the daughter of the late John Robert "Bob" Ruble Sr. and Betty Lou (Colson) Ruble. She was raised in Greensburg, Indiana and was a 1972 graduate of the Greensburg High School. Marilyn was united in marriage on July 27, 1983 to Everett Franklin Barber in Medina, Ohio. She was employed for Printpack in Greensburg, Indiana for several years. Marilyn was later employed as a casino host for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana for 20 years. She was a member of the Greensburg American Legion Post #129 Ladies Auxiliary and was a Golden Eagle member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #927 in Greensburg, Indiana. Marilyn enjoyed crafts, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn passed away at 11:05 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Everett Franklin Barber of Greensburg, IN; her daughters, Trina Cornett of Westport, IN, and Heather Kinney and her husband, Noel of Westfield, IN; her son, Derick Cofer and his wife, Mickey of Hayden, IN; her step-daughters, Doneta Miller of Greensburg, IN, and Pamela Pagan and her husband, Pedro of Greensburg, IN; her step-son, Everett "Butch" Franklin Barber, Jr. and his wife, Kasey of Greensburg, IN; her several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Lon Ruble and his wife, Andrea of Tuscan, AZ; her sisters, Brenda Riele and her husband, Francis of Osgood, IN, Terri McGrath and her husband, Rocky of Holton, IN, and Bobbi Purvis and her husband, Jeff of Bear Branch, IN; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie Arnett of Osgood, IN, Pearletta and Chuck Roberts of Greensburg, IN, and Harold and Kristen Barber of Speedway, IN, and her several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert "Bob" Ruble, Sr.; her mother, Betty Lou (Colson) Ruble; her brother, John Robert "Who" Ruble, Jr.; and her nephew, Arthur Alexander Ruble.
Marilyn's wishes were to be cremated with no formal services being held at this time.
