Kathie A. Williams

Mrs. Kathie A. (Earlewine) Williams, age 78, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on June 13, 1947 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Jay and Christine M. (Smoots) Earlewine. She was raised in Utica, Ohio and was a 1965 graduate of the Utica High School. Kathie earned her cosmetology license from 3B School of Beauty in Newark, Ohio. On October 11, 1969, Kathie was united in marriage to Charles F. Williams in Newark, Ohio. This happy union of over 56 years was blessed with two children, Nathan and Melinda. Kathie worked for several years as a beautician in a beauty shop in Utica, Ohio. She found great joy in her many personal interests, which included quilting, sewing, cooking, and baking. Kathie delighted her family with her skills in the kitchen where she especially loved baking pies of every kind. Kathie's family will always remember the warmth and joy she brought to holidays and gatherings. Kathie was a lifelong animal lover and adored her cats and dogs. Kathie unexpectedly passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her residence in Bennington, Indiana.
Kathie will be deeply missed by her husband, Charles F. "Charlie" Williams of Bennington, IN; her son, Nathan Williams and his wife, Becky of Liberty Township, OH; her daughter, Melinda Williams and her companion, Duane Tolliver of Bennington, IN; and her several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine M. (Smoots) Earlewine, died March 10, 2008; her father, William "Bill" Jay Earlewine, died July 13, 2013; and her sister, Marilyn Kaye (Earlewine) Wright, died May 6, 2012.
Private services are being held at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Inurnment will be held in the South Lawn Cemetery, 12838 Reynolds Road, Utica, Ohio 43080.
