Graveside services for Marilyn Agent Belding will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. from Old Pearl Valley Cemetery with Dr. Heath Hillman officiating, Visitation will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home until time to leave for the service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Belding, 84, of Louisville died August 7, 2024.
Ms. Marilyn was a native of Neshoba County and a graduate from Oakland High School in Oakland, MS. After graduation she married Hilton Belding who was in the army and they lived abroad in several different places, Germany, Panama Canal Zone, Alaska and several other states. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, eating with her sister-in-law Joan and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Ms. Belding was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville where she enjoyed taking care of the nursery.
Survivors include her daughters, DeeLynne Belding Garland of Louisville and Felicia Belding Garrett (David) of Tupelo; grandchildren, Thomas Garland, Dylan Powers, Tanner Belding, Drew Garrett (Chelsea) Chris Garrett (Brooke) and Jason Garrett; great-grandchildren, Emma, Amelia and Jacob Garrett; sister-in-law, Joan Agent of Louisville; a host of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Belding was preceded in death by her husband, Major Hilton E. Belding; grandson, Jacob Alexander Garrett; parents, Roger and Marzine Agent; brothers, Kenneth, and Norman Agent.
Pallbearers, Thomas Garland, Dylan Powers, Drew Garrett and Jason Garrett.
