Nancy Palmer Obituary
Funeral Services for Ms. Nancy Palmer will be held on Saturday, August 16 ,2025 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. David Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Walnut Grove, Ms. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at McClain-Hays from 11 a.m. until service time.
Ms. Nancy Palmer died Sunday, August 10th at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Born September 15th, 1938 in Neshoba County, she graduated from Dixon High School and spent most of her adult life in Pascagoula, MS working for International Paper. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Jackson where they were members of the Cathedral of St Peter.
Survivors include her sisters Betsy Hutchins of Jackson, Marie Frazier (James) of Carthage and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Palmer, her parents Sharp and Azzie Gilmer, her sister Ada Boyd and brothers Harold Gilmer and Billy Gilmer.
Pallbearers will be Tony Hutchins and Bryant Hutchins.
