Marilyn A. Bodo

We are saddened to announce the passing of Marilyn Bodo, at the age of 88 on July 1, 2023. Born in Port Chester, NY but spent most of her life in various towns in New Jersey before retiring to Florida. Just last year moving back to New Jersey where her soul departed us at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Marilyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Emil Bodo in 2020; her son, Ronald Heroy in 1982; her stepdaughter, Charlotte Bodo in 2007; and her brother, Donald Davis in 2014.
Marilyn is survived by her son Richard Heroy and his wife Nancy; her stepdaughters, Lynda Christine Bodo and Lisa Bodo-Pulk and her husband Jeff; her granddaughter, Tracy Burczyk and her husband Robert; her grandson Greg Heroy and his wife Audrey; her great grandchildren, Ava and Gavin Heroy; and her beloved pet, Jenny.
Marilyn worked for AT&T for many years, serving in various positions before retiring to Florida. Where she enjoyed the warm, sunny days and all of the friends she made there. She was a beautiful soul, stubborn as they come, yet just as radiant as she was stubborn. She was an avid bird watcher and lover of orchids but most of all she loved time with her family and especially her Jenny, who is lost without her.
Services for Marilyn will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Carmona- Bolen Home for Funerals, located at 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753, with a private cremation to follow.
