Marilyn Marian "Peachy" (Meacham) Bowley, 72, of Randolph, Town of Coldspring, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa.
She was born August 18, 1953 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Bennie Meacham and Marian M. (Miller) Loomis.
Marilyn was a 1971 graduate of Randolph Central School. She currently served as Court Clerk for the Town of Coldspring and was a past long time Town Clerk. She had previously worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Randolph Union Free Academy in Randolph as a Teacher's Aide and Randolph Central School as a Cafeteria and Teacher's Aide.
As "Nana," Marilyn loved attending various activities and events with her grandchildren and going on adventures with them. She enjoyed taking trips to the ocean with her husband, Tim. She could often be found shopping with her sister, Ida, and attending auctions to purchase quilts. She preserved fruits and vegetables from her garden and was especially known for her pickles.
Marilyn was an active member of East Randolph Methodist Church and currently the secretary for the board of trustees. She was a prayer warrior who served as chair of the Prayer Ministry, attended a weekly prayer group and blessed numerous individuals with prayer shawls she crocheted. She was a former member of the Randolph Fire Company Auxiliary and the Cattaraugus County Town Clerks Association for which she also served as an officer.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Bowley, a daughter, Sara (Brian) Pound of Kiantone, two sons, Michael (Misty) Bowley of Allegany and Andrew Bowley of Gowanda, 10 grandchildren, Lydia, Julia, Martha and Madilyn Pound, Sadie (Dylan) Shaw, Camille and Shana Bebko, Hayden and Hunter Felt and Avery Cordier.
A brother Bennie A. Meacham of Randolph, 2 sisters; Sandra (Dennis) Cain of Steamburg and Ida (Dennis) Lore of Youngsville, PA.
She is pre-deceased by her parents; Bennie and Marian and step father, Clyde Loomis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2025 from the Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Hunt Road (NY32), Jamestown, NY 14701. The family will receive family and friends two hours prior. The Rev. Drew Taylor will officiate. The family asks that attendees bring their prayer shawl if they received one from Marilyn. Burial will be private in the Bowley Family Cemetery.
