Noah B. Detweiler, 85, of 6916 West Road, Conewango Valley, Town of Leon, passed away at 5:25 PM, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at home after an extended illness with his family at his side.
He was born March 7, 1940 in Middlefield, Ohio, the son of late Ben N. and Clara E. (Slabaugh) Detweiler. He was a member of the Old Order of the Amish in Conewango Valley (Leon) and owned and operated a Detweiler Furniture Shop in Leon.
He is survived by his 2nd wife; Ada S. (Kurtz) Detweiler, 2 sons, Ervin N. Detweiler of Jasper, NY., and Emmanuel N. Detweiler of Leon, 5 daughters, Sarah N. Miller and Mary N. Hostetler of Leon, Fannie N. Miller of Greenup, Kentucky, Ada N. Shetler of Conneaut, Ohio and Katie N. Miller of Clyde, NY., 68 Grandchildren and 220 Great Grandchildren.
He is also survived by Siblings, Ervin B. Detweiler of Clintonville, Pa., Bennie B. Detweiler of South Dayton, Johnnie Detweiler of Sugar Grove, Pa., Barbara B. Miller of Punxsutawney, Pa., Elizabeth B. Kaufmann of Conneaut, Ohio and Jemima B. Raber of Conewango Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Clara, his first wife; Mattie Y. (Miller) Detweiler, a son; Bennie N. Detweiler, and siblings, Chris and Mary.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday and Friday all day.at the family home, 6916 West Road, Leon. Funeral services were held in the home at 9:00 Saturday A.M./10:00 AM English (August 30, 2025) Bishop Amos Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in the West Amish Cemetery, Young's Road, Town of Leon. (By the Cheese Factory).
