Marilyn Molesworth Cox, 97, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Marilyn grew up in upstate New York and carried with her the values of resilience, kindness, and a strong work ethic throughout her life. She dedicated much of her career to serving as a business office administrator at St. Petersburg College, where she was known for her professionalism, warmth, and unwavering dedication.
Marilyn was a proud fan of Florida Gators football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, never missing a game and always cheering on her teams with enthusiasm.
She is survived by her son, Elliott, of Orlando; her brother, Joe, of Oregon; and her sister-in-law, Juanita, of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Don and her parents, Thomas Alton Molesworth and Dorothy Prims.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home in Orlando, Florida.
Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her love of family, her bright spirit, and her enduring loyalty to those she held dear.
