Marilyn "Laverne" Crysel

Marilyn "Laverne" Crysel, 69, of Kountze, went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Laverne was born on February 15, 1953, in Woodville, to Lerla Gardner Stackpole and Melvin Walter Stackpole.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Crysel of Kountze; sister, JoAnn Redmon of Kountze; nieces and nephews, Glynn Redmon Jr. and his wife, Dewanda, of Georgetown; Melvin Keith Redmon of Lumberton; Tessa Johnson and her husband, Charles, of Kountze; Stacy Cole and her husband, Roy, of Kountze; Victoria Hancock and Connor Hancock, both of The Woodlands; and Tray Crysel and Chase Crysel, both of Lumberton; and sister in-law, Deborah Sue Hancock and her husband, Roger, of The Woodlands. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother in-law, Glynn Redmon Sr.
A gathering of Mrs. Crysel's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Gardner Cemetery, Warren.
