Affectionately known as "Mert," Marilyn Marie Daffron passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at her daughters home in Warren, Michigan, at the age of 86. She was born on July 24, 1938, in Michigan to her loving parents, Clarence and Florence Harker.
Marilyn grew up in Troy, Michigan, and graduated from Troy High School in 1958. She moved to Clawson in 1962 and has been a longtime resident ever since. She loved her neighbors, especially the kids in the neighborhood who loved spending time with her. Whenever you were at her house, she was always trying to fix you something to eat if you were hungry or not. Marilyn always had the coffee pot on for everyone who stopped by day or night. She was a woman with a kind heart and generous spirit.
Marilyn enjoyed and took great pride in manicuring her home, often found outside cutting the lawn and making her yard beautiful. Marilyn had a deep love for country music, especially Alan Jackson, but above all, she cherished time spent with her familyher greatest joy in life.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Robin Daffron (David MacLeod); her cherished grandson Bryan Daffron (Melissa) and two adored great-grandchildren Bennett and Leroy; her brother, Richard (Phyllis) Harker; and her loving sisters, Betty Hagelstein and Shirlene Pechota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Daffron whom passed away in 1973; Marilyn was also preceded in death by her beloved Partner of almost 30 years, Benny Belcher and her brother, Russell Mamo (Paula).
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gramer Funeral Home. A Celebration of Marilyns Life will be held 11 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, Clawson, Michigan 48017, followed by burial at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills.
In honor of Marilyns giving nature, memorial donations may be made to the Clawson Goodfellows, P.O. Box 239, Clawson, Michigan 48017.
Marilyns warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
