Marilyn Sue (Bunney) Dye, 85, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Lincoln, Neb. She was born on March 12, 1940, to J. Vernon Bunney and Floy Fay (Decker) Bunney in Carrollton, Mo. Martin Dye and Marilyn (Bunney) Dye were married March 6, 1960, in Carrollton, Mo. In 1972 Martin and Marilyn opened Craft-Wood. They owned and operated Craft-Wood for 23 years in Lincoln, Neb.
Marilyn is survived by daughters, Karen (Mike) Babel and Martina (Renauld) Goines of Lincoln. Grandchildren, Aaron (Julie) Babel of Kansas City, Mo., Autum Thurber, Julian Goines, Kamiya Goines, and Kailani Goines all of Lincoln. Sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Ford, Linda (Larry) Lavelock of Carrollton, Missouri, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A street, in Lincoln, NE. Celebration of life will be on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Christ Place Church, 1111 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, NE. Burial and reception to follow.
