Marilyn Finelli

Marilyn Finelli (née Saccomano), 96, passed away peacefully on November 21 in West Orange, NJ. A lifelong New Jerseyan and proud Italian, Marilyn brought life, beauty, and unmistakable glamour to every corner of her world.
She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Al, with whom she shared not only a deep devotion but also a flourishing florist in their younger years. In her final months, she asked about him often-a testament that even when the mind fails, the heart remembers.
Marilyn's legacy includes her daughter, Dianne, and son-in-law, Dennis, as well as her son, Donnie, and daughter-in-law, Vicki (predeceased). She also leaves six grandchildren: Donnie Jr. and his partner, Amber; Corey and her partner, Ed; Dennis Jr. and his wife, Katie; Sunday and her husband, Kevin; Lucas and his partner, Victoria; and Marnie and her partner, Ryan; as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Marilyn had an eye for beauty and a heart drawn to all things vibrant. She was happiest in the kitchen with a cat underfoot and gravy (NOT sauce) simmering on the stove. She adored antiques, dressing to the nines, and the lively energy of New York City. Keeping a warm, inviting, and immaculate home was not just a habit for Marilyn, but an expression of who she was.
Her legacy is one of family, beauty, and devotion. She will be fondly remembered for her style, her culinary gifts, and for always donning lipstick even just to retrieve the mail.
