Marilyn "Mimi" Joan (Morris) Hunter, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021. She was born April 22, 1946, in Carthage to Chester and Juanita (Hatcher) Morris.
Remembered for her giving heart, Marilyn was blessed with a large and loving family, including her husband of 55 years, Ronald.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons Jeff Hunter and wife Angela, of Battlefield, Chad Hunter and wife Vickie, of Van Buren, Ark.; daughter Kristi Elliott and husband Jason, of Rogersville; step-son Mark and wife Tammy, of Walnut Grove; grandchildren Hannah Seckman and husband Sage, Bailey Elliott and wife Shelby, Grace Hammons and husband Cody, Jonah Elliott, Matthew Elliott, Joseph Elliott, Luke Elliott, Andrew Elliott, Isabella Elliott, Maryann Elliott, Justin Hunter, Jesse Hunter and Nicholas Hunter; step-grandchildren Alex Ewy, Melanie McMullen, Hayley Gateley and husband Patrick, Trey Hunter and Corey Hunter; great-grandchildren Gabe Seckman, Lydia Seckman, Kayla Elliott and Jaxon Elliott; step-great-grandchildren Easton Gateley and Sophia Gateley; brother Gary Morris and wife Martha, of Lee's Summit; niece Angela Morris; other extended family; and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 West Battlefield, Springfield, Mo. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery, 1642 E. Seminole, Springfield, Mo.
