Marilyn L. Jackman

Marilyn Jackman, of Shelby Township Michigan, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township at the age of 75. She was born on December 29, 1949 in Detroit Michigan to Norman and Helen (VandenBrouck) Jackman. Marilyn worked and retired from Gale after 25 years. She had a thriving career where she was well respected by her coworkers for her dedication and kind soul and received many accolades. Beyond her work, Marilyn found joy in the simple, meaningful things; curling up with a good book, tending to her garden, and exploring new places. But nothing compared to the happiness she felt when surrounded by her family. To her, being a sister, aunt, and great-aunt wasn't just a role, it was who she was at her core. Family was her greatest treasure. Whether it was cheering at sporting events, going to parades, hosting family parties, or her beloved "Hens and Chicks" weekends with her sisters, nieces, and nephews, Marilyn poured her heart and soul into every moment. The family has lost one of its strongest supporters and brightest lights, but her laughter, love, and lively spirit will continue to shine through the people she loved most. Marilyn is survived by her four sisters, Beth (Steve) Gordon, Eileen (Danny "The Veng") Venglar, Amy Barr, and Maureen (Mike "Pepe") Pace and her four brothers, Mike (Marcia) Jackman, Tim (Sharon) Jackman, Norm (Mariann) Jackman Jr., and Danny "Zolis" (predeceased Melinda) Jackman. She was a proud Aunt of two nieces, Jade (David) Ross, and Caitlyn (Evan) Couto and nine nephews, Gregory (Angie) Jackman, Matt (Emma) Jackman, Chris (Kate) Venglar, Zach (Katie) Venglar, Josh (Kelsey) Venglar, Troy (Gabby) Pace, Chad Pace, Ryan Barr, and Trevor Barr. Marilyn was also a great-aunt of Mila, Brayden, Nikolas, Kinsley, Jacob, Aubrey, Elias, and Weston. Marilyn Jackman will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her and her family will forever cherish the memories they have shared with her. Visitation will take place on Monday (September 22nd) from 2pm-8pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blocks E. of Van Dyke), Utica, Michigan 48317. A funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday (September 23rd) at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Road, Shelby Township, she will lie instate at 9:30am until the time of Mass at 10:00am.
