Marilyn Lemly

Marilyn Lemly, 76, of Panama City, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023.
You may have met my sister Marilyn when she was a cashier at Winn Dixie, a groomer at Sandi's Feed & Seed and Dog Grooming, or at two of the Walmart stores in Panama City. Marilyn and her deceased husband Sonny spent over 20 years at Walmart. She had a strong work ethic that began as a cosmetologist, and subsequent ventures included dog grooming, furniture and auto sales person and bar tender.
She had a contagious smile, a big heart, a keen sense of humor and an engaging personality in her public life. She was independent, loyal and very private in her personal life. She was an animal lover. We both enjoyed dining at Hunt's Oyster Bar and Ferrucci Ristorante on my visits. There was no public funeral for Sonny and there will be none for Marilyn. I am reasonably sure she would not approve of this memoriam.
Marilyn lived alone for the past 10 years before becoming ill. We had a strong love for each other and spoke on the phone weekly. She loved Panama City, but feared the weather after Hurricane Michael. We are a small family and she is survived by a niece and three nephews and me, her brother, John Renshaw.
