Ingram Funeral HomeSurrounded by her three daughters, Marilyn C. Maxson peacefully returned to her heavenly father on November 1, 2025. Marilyn was born on September 21,1941 in Buffalo, NY, where she was raised, attended school, married and built her family. She moved to Georgia with her family in 1976 and enjoyed a successful career in real estate in Gwinnett County.
Marilyn is survived by her three daughters Jodi Maxson (David Presson), Tammy McElroy (Brian), and Jackie Stephens (Jeff); grandchildren Colin McElroy (Taylor), Connor McElroy, Andrew Stephens, Kendall Stephens, Alec Stephens; and great-grandchild Tristan McElroy.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Maxson, and second husband, Earl Conabee; her parents, Edward and Mary Wisniewski; and her siblings, Jack, Ed, and Barbara.
Marilyn will be remembered for her infinite optimism and exuberant commitment to her faith, family and friends. She illuminated the lives of so many with her endless ability to find the best in every person and all aspects of life.
All of Marilyn’s friends and family are invited to the Funeral Mass to celebrate her life presided by Father Diosmar at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming, Ga 30041 on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:30am. Lunch will follow at the McElroy home, 233 Canton Street, Alpharetta, GA 30009. Please note that parking is available across the street at the Alpharetta Arts Center.
Deacon Bill Bohn will preside over a private family graveside service on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11am at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.
May she rest in eternal peace in the presence of our Lord.
