Marilyn E McCoy, born on September 30, 1942, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at UMMC. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Marilyn epitomized the essence of a devoted homemaker, skillfully nurturing her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her passion for family extended beyond the walls of her home; her spirit was intertwined with her faith as a cherished member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, where she found community and companionship.

Marilyn had a delightful personality, one that shone through in her love for her dogs, her enjoyment of captivating crime shows, and her skillful engagement with puzzles and word searches. These simple pleasures brought her joy and tranquility, allowing her to find happiness in everyday moments.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Martha Ann Black (Michael), and two cherished grandchildren, Amber Nicole Black and Levi Daniel Black, who will carry her memory forward.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and her husband, James Thomas McCoy, Sr., along with her son, James Thomas McCoy, Jr. 

Marilyn E McCoy’s services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025 with Visitation 1:00-2:00 pm at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton.  The Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm also at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton.  Burial will be at Terry City Cemetery following the Funeral Service.
