Marilyn Jane Moore, of New Lothrop, Michigan, died February 10, 2024. She was born on July 4, 1935, in Owosso, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Muda (Kahl) Chapin. She graduated from New Lothrop High School. After high school was married to her late husband, Wayne Moore, on January 22, 1955, and together they shared many beautiful years until his passing in 2004.
Marilyn was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church for many years. Her hobbies included reading and genealogy, and she found particular joy in cherishing her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sharron (Martin) Kumle, Michael (Mary Ellen) Moore, Lisa (Rick) Hickmott; nine grandchildren, Bradley, Samantha, Amanda, Chris, Brian, Mitchell, Alex, Sean and Brienna; seventeen great grandchildren, and her brother, Richard (Ruth) Chapin. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Wayne, granddaughter, Katie, and sister Helen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 2:00pm - 7:00PM at the McGeehan Funeral Home, New Lothrop Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Michael Parish of Maple Grove, 17994 Lincoln Road, New Lothrop. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. For further information please phone 989-845-3420.
