Born on December 23, 1941, Marilyn was raised in West Caldwell, New Jersey, and graduated from James Caldwell High School. Guided by a deep passion for creativity, she spent almost 30 years inspiring young minds as an after school art teacher in Hanover Township.
Marilyn's love for art was not confined to the classroom. Each year, she brought beauty and joy to her neighborhood through the handcrafted holiday decorations she lovingly designed for every season. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart turned her home into a place of warmth, celebration, and togetherness.
Above all, Marilyn was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife of 57 years, a nurturing mother to her four children-Bobby, Renée, Daryn, and Brett-and a proud and adoring grandmother to Tanner, Brielle, Kyle, Chloe, Joey, and Charlie. Her creativity, kindness, and unwavering support were gifts she gave freely to those she loved.
Marilyn will long be remembered for her artistic talent, her dedication to her students and community, and most importantly, the deep love she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert J. Mount Sr., her children and their spouses; Robert and Janna Mount, Renée and Marc Beaudin, Daryn and Nicole Mount, and Brett and Jenn Mount, as well as her six grandchildren; Tanner and Brielle Beaudin, Kyle and Chloe Mount, and Joey and Charlie Mount.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:00 AM at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel · 75 Ridgedale Ave. Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. A private burial will be held following the Liturgy.
