Linda Mount Obituary
Linda was born on Wednesday, November 12, 1941 in LA and passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Alexandria, LA surrounded by loved ones.
She is reunited with her husband, Fred "Bubba" Mount; parents, Emeric Cornelius Jones and Lessie Estell McCall Jones; brothers, EC Jones, Eddie Jones, Justin Jones; and grandson, Charles Jared Mount.
Those left behind to cherish Linda's memories are her sister, Lily Faye Scott; daughters, Toni Cavitt & her husband Jack, Gay Book & her husband David, and Kay Thompson & her husband Ernie; sons, Curt Mount & his wife Jessica and Joe Mount; special friend, Sue Bowie; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Ace Care Giving Services in Jonesville, LA for the care, love, and support for their mom and towards them.
We hope Heaven welcomed you gently, because down here, we never saw it coming.
We'd like to believe you're at peace now, even though the rest of us are still trying to catch our breath.
Down here, we're still figuring out how to exist in a world where you were just... gone one day. We still talk to you like you might answer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
