Marilyn Ostermann (née Borowski), age 83, passed away peacefully in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Born on August 20, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Marilyn was the daughter of Walter and Helen Borowski. She built a meaningful life rooted in dedication to her family and her work. Marilyn enjoyed a successful career as an Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of The Dilenschneider Group, where she worked with professionalism and commitment until her retirement in 2001.

Marilyn found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. After retiring, she embraced the Florida lifestyle wholeheartedly. She loved living near the ocean and spent many happy days at the beach. Alongside her beloved husband Joe, Marilyn also shared a passion for camping. Together they explored the natural beauty of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida-creating cherished memories along the way.

She is survived by her devoted husband Joe; her brother Walter (Cindy); her sister Norma; and her six children: Greg (Nikki), Sue (Rick), Brian (Cynthia), Monica, Donna (Bruce), and Julie (Regan). Marilyn's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Britny, Nico, Kelsey, Irene, Kristin, Erica, and Gavin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen Borowski. She was also preceded in death by her many beloved pets over the years Homie, Nosey, Whiskers, RC, RM, and Cookie.

Marilyn's warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
