Marilyn Sue "Susie" Petsche, 70, of Clarksburg, passed away suddenly on August 19, 2025, at River Oaks Healthcare Center.
She was born on January 12, 1955, at St Mary's Hospital in Clarksburg, a daughter of Betty Nuzum Tonkery of Shinnston. She was preceded in death by her husband George Petsche of Cleveland, OH, her nephew Brandon Ford of Shinnston, and her beloved dog Petie.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter Sandra Mullenax, husband Barry and their daughter Madisyn, all of Grafton; her sister Charlotte Thompson and husband John, of Shinnston; her uncle Rober Earl Nuzum, of Grafton; her cousin James Robert Nuzum, of Shinnston (who was like a brother to her); nieces Stephanie Lucas, husband Kris and son Tyler, of Bridgeport, and Carrie Ford, daughter Rylee and sons, Jonathon and Joseph, of Clarksburg, and other relatives and friends.
She was a 1972 graduate of Shinnston High School. She was very creative. She enjoyed crafting, painting and sewing. She had a heart of gold. She loved her family and friends, especially her only granddaughter, Madisyn, very much.
A memorial service will be held on September 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Living Water Church, 1000 Hall Valley Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Senior Pastor Jerry W. Fiscus will be officiating the service.
