Marilyn R. Pope, 89, of Salisbury, MD, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.

Born December 27, 1936, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Marsano) Beach. Her husband was the late Ernest L. Pope.

Marilyn was a registered nurse at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for 43 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Salisbury, MD.

Survivors include four children, Joseph Barton (Terri), Nancy Shrieves (Glen), Michael Barton (Michealle) and Cheryl Tyndall (Mark); eight grandchildren, Jeff Brown, Ryan Shrieves, Courtney Savage, Kristie Mutchler, Chase Barton, Lindsay Michael, Whitney Tyndall and Justin Shrieves; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers Ronald and Robert Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD 21801. A visitation will be held in church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026. Entombment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens.
