Robert A Owens

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert A. Owens, age 86, who departed this life on February 20, 2026. Born on February 8, 1940, in Princess Anne, Maryland, to the late Charles and Helen Owens, Robert was a beloved husband, father, and dedicated member of his community. Bobby, as he was known, proudly served in the United States Army and later embarked on a fulfilling 31 year career as an electrician, where he became well-respected in the electrical industry.

Bobby is survived by his devoted spouse, Ellen Owens; his cherished daughter, Lori Anne Owens; his loving son, Robert D. Owens (and wife, Carla); and two grandchildren, Brandon and Andrew Owens. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Petras (and husband, Bill) and Edna Wise (and husband, Jerry) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles W. Owens, Faye Elliott and Eddie Owens. Bobby will be deeply missed by his family and friends who knew him for his unwavering kindness and strength.

Bobby was a very social man...he didn't know a stranger. He also had a love for animals. He enjoyed watching deer in his backyard, and he loved his pet dogs. Bobby also loved to travel and listen to country music. He served as Elder and Trustee of Gunby United Presbyterian Church in Stockton, MD, and he also attended Christ Methodist Church in Salisbury.

Funeral services will be held in his honor on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Christ Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Drive, Salisbury, Md 21804. The visitation will take place from Noon to 1:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Ceremony at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Wicomico Memorial Park.
