Marilyn Kay Prochazka Ratliff, age 66, was called home by our loving and gracious Savior on August 11, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her dearest loved ones. Marilyn was born June 13, 1959, to her mother, Mary Francis (Sill) Stieler, her father, Augustine Charles Prochazka Sr., and her stepfather, Ernest J. Stieler.
Marilyn Kay Prochazka Ratliff is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ratliff, her son Ryan Quinn and his wife Windy Quinn, their daughter Brandi Salas, her husband Juan Salas and their two sons Brock & Brad, son Kipp Ratliff and his children Kayden & Kinley and his wife Damaris with their children Grace and Noah and her daughter Maeci Ratliff. She is also survived by her siblings Charlene Quarels, Henry Prochazka, Charles Prochazka, Bobbie McDaniel, and Kathy Lawrence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beautiful granddaughter Kallie Mae Ratliff and her beloved dog Libby.
Marilyn's finest accomplishments in life were the house she made a home and her family to whom she was graciously devoted to. Marilyn's home was her ministry, and she tended to it with joyful obedience. Her days were filled with raising children with love and faith with a servants' heart. Dishes to be washed, clothes to be folded, tears to wipe away, a meal to be cooked, a hand to hold or a hug to be given. Marilyn was always there to give herself to her family. She found joy in the simple and sacred act of caring for those she cared most about. Marilyn was a mother figure to many as she often opened her home to others and made them feel like family. She practiced the gift of hospitality, and a gift it was, with everyone she met showing God's love within her with every warm meal she shared, kind words she spoke and each inspirational piece of advice she gave. She made her home a refuge- a sanctuary where you felt seen, heard, loved and safe.
Marilyn was also a committed wife. She married Kenneth Ratliff on November 11, 1989, in
Victoria, Tx. That is where they started their life as a blended family. Ken and Marilyn spent 36 years raising a family together, sharing morning coffee, tag teaming cooking & creating artistic crafts. They had a knack for making a great team. They had a heart for creating and a talent for turning simple things into something special for themselves and others.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Funeral Services are as follows:
Marilyn's celebration of life will take place at Grace Memorial Chapel at Memory Gardens located at 8819 US-87 North,
