Cuyahoga Falls- Marilyn Runkle, 89, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024. She was born in Kent, OH and was a long-time resident of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and was a Cuyahoga Falls graduate. Marilyn married Robert and they were happily married for 63years. She loved family get-togethers, and spending time with her close friends. Marilyn worked at Lawsons and after having a family she started her own cleaning business.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents, Lee and Bertha Goretti and sister Judy Goretti.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Lee Runkle (Bob Hornor), Ann (Bruce) Ritchie, Scott (Loree) Runkle; grandchildren, Emilee, Lauren, Bryan, Leah, Brent and Max; great grandson, Jordan; many other family and friends
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
A visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Also, at the funeral home on Saturday May 11, 2024 at noon a funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
