Jennifer Runkle, 85, of Dauphin, passed away on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.
The daughter of Robert and Amy Swatton, Jennifer was born in Liverpool, England, later moving to the United States and becoming a citizen on May 1, 1978.
Jennifer's faith was of great importance to her and she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday School and bible study classes. She truly cared for others, volunteering at Bethesda Mission and delivering food with Meals on Wheels. She held a position the Harrisburg Packaging Company up until its closure in 2002 after which she worked for Ingram Micro and, for nine years, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
She lived an active life, filling her time with many hobbies, including being a member of a PT Cruisers Car Club. Jennifer loved to garden, she loved reading. She loved to create through sewing, cooking, woodcarving, crocheting, and knitting.
Jennifer is survived by her husband of sixty years, Donald Eugene Runkle Sr; her sons, Donald Eugene Runkle Jr. and Duane Edward (Lori) Runkle; her daughter, Collette Ann Runkle, and her brother, Robert Swatton who resides in England.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lenny and Jeffrey Swatton; and her sisters Penelope Swatton, Christina Swatton, and Mahalia Minnaugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, (301 Market St, Dauphin PA, 17108.
