MARILYN JOYCE (WISECUP) SALYERS, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Carriage Court of Washington CH.
She was born on March 9, 1945 in Ross County to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Pollock) Wisecup. She was a graduate of Buckskin High School. Marilyn retired from the Miami Trace School District where she had worked as a cook for thirty-five years. She and her late husband, George, were faithful members at the First Church of the Nazarene in Washington CH. She enjoyed playing and teaching piano, traveling with her cousins, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she was known for her delicious "French toast!"
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George "Buddy" Salyers, whom she married on August 4, 1963, and siblings, Marvin Wisecup, and Jenny Slane.
Survivors include her children, Brad Salyers, Janelle (Trent) Anderson, and Shane (Heidi) Salyers; grandchildren, Trey (Jessica) Anderson, Tobin (Veerle) Anderson, Shay Salyers, and Skye Salyers; sister, Carol (Eddie) Rumer, and sister-in-law, Jeanie Wisecup. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Court House Nazarene Church, St Rt 41 SW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Shane Salyers officiating with burial to follow at the Twin Township Cemetery on Route 50 in Bourneville, OH. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
