Marilyn J. "Pat" Storts

Marilyn J. "Pat" Storts, age 97, and lifelong resident of Peoria Heights, passed away at 12:35 AM on April 2, 2025 at Apostolic Christian Skylines.
She was born March 17, 1928 in Peoria Heights, one of eight to Frank and Wilma (Garrison) Emory. She graduated from Peoria High School with the class of 1946. On October 13,1948 she married Arthur Storts and together they cherished 55 years until his passing on October 11, 2004. Pat worked in Accounts Payable at Caterpillar for years until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and baking. Pat was an active member of her church and served as an elder. She was a proud member of the ABWA and in her younger years enjoyed bowling. Most importantly family was everything to Pat, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment she was able to attend family events and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who lived a full life and who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include three children: Vickie (Kevin) Lyons of St. Charles, MO, Harry (Sue) Storts of Peoria Heights and Bobby (Kristine) Storts of Augusta, MO; six grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister Shirley Yates of Springfield, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, one son Jeffrey Storts, two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at Historic Springdale Cemetery on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Barch officiating.
Preferred memorials in Pat's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
