Marilyn Delores Thomas

Marilyn Delores Thomas, 73, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born on October 11, 1950 in Jefferson City, Missouri, daughter of the late James and Jean (Roberts) Bock. She married Monroe Thomas on June 1, 1988.
She was a 1968 graduate from Fatima Highschool. She attended William Woods University where she got her Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Marilyn worked several years at Capital Region Medical Center, as well as, 12 years as the Director of Nursing for St. Elizabeth Care Center.
Marilyn enjoyed cross stitching, reading, and bird watching. Marilyn was also known for her great cooking skills. She loved the time she spent with her family most of all.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Jacobs (Chrissy); daughter Valorie Sparks (Richard); brothers, Mike Bock (Helen), Tim Bock (Jeanine); sister, Brenda Schanzmeyer (Gene); and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Monroe Thomas.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Cecilia Church in Meta, Missouri from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a Visitation with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery in Meta. Father Finder will be officiating.
