Marilyn Annette Voliva, age 88, passed away on May 12, 2025 in Las Cruces, NM. Annette was born in Weeksville, NC to James and Alice Trueblood on Aug 3, 1936. She lived in Weeksville until she was 19 years old.
She married Clyde Voliva on December 24, 1955 in Elizabeth City NC. They moved to Roswell, NM in 1957. Annette began working as a teller for Roswell State Bank, which is now Wells Fargo Bank. She worked for 35+ years and finished her career as an Assistant Vice President of the bank.
She was involved at First United Methodist Church, PEO, and the Assistance League of Chavez County. She had many dear friends during her 60+ years in Roswell. She enjoyed many activities with her friends including bowling, golfing, singing in the Silver Chords Choir at church, and volunteering at the Assistance League Thrift Store.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents James and Alice Trueblood, her sisters Margarit Nagel and Mary Lou Gray, and her husband Clyde Voliva. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Bunker and husband Bruce Bunker, her brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Shirley Trueblood and Fred and Elaine Trueblood, her sister and brother-in-law Joan and Allan Bryan, and her nephews David Nagel and Glen Gray and their families. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dawson Hunt, Dustin Hunt, Nolan Bunker, Taylor Bunker, Destiny Romero and their families.
A private family memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Assistance League of Chavez County To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Marilyn, please visit our Tree Store.
