Marilynn F. Lindell, age 90 of Cannon Falls, died on Thursday morning, December 23, 2010 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, where she has been a resident since 2003. Marilynn was born on August 23, 1920 in Leon Township, the daughter of Elmer and Myrtle (Nelson) Swanson. She attended country school, and later Cannon Falls Schools. She married Gordon A. Lindell on October 9, 1937 at her parent's home in Leon Township. Marilynn has been a lifelong member of Spring Garden Lutheran Church, where she had been active in the Lutheran Church Women, choir, sewing circle, and church board. She loved her family, gardening, cooking, music and travel. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Gordon on January 25, 1992. She is survived by her sons, Conrad (Carole) Lindell of Cannon Falls and Marshall (Marcia) Lindell of Owatonna; six grandchildren, Troy (Dana) Lindell, Kevin Lindell, Terri (Troy) Hanson, Traci (Jim) Holt, Josh Lindell and Andrew (Amy) Lindell; seven great grandchildren, Felicia and Cole Hanson, Conor and Lucas Lindell, Tanner and Kade Holt, and Cody Lindell; brother, Worrell (Pauline) Swanson of Cannon Falls; sister, Helen (Garvin) Broin of Wanamingo; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, June Klossner of Portland, OR, Jeanne (Royal) Featherstone of Cannon Falls, and Adeline Lindell of Cannon Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spring Garden Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls, with Pastors Nick and Cindy Fisher-Broin officiating. Interment will be held in the spring at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Spring Garden Lutheran Church or Angels Care Center. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
