Mario Carulli

Mario Carulli, age 76, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Mario was born on February 27, 1948, in Poggiofiorito, a town in the Abruzzo region of Italy, a son of the late Donato and Angelina Bucciarelli Carulli. He spent his early childhood in Italy before immigrating to the Philadelphia Overbrook area. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where he honorably served his country.
He married the former Joyce Ann Weisenborn of Philadelphia, PA, on May 26, 1973. They recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
Mario worked for the Philadelphia Police department as an officer for 24 years. After retiring he and Joyce relocated to Wyalusing in 2004. In his retirement he worked at Cargill, and the Wyalusing Valley High School for a few years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors watching the wildlife from his porch. He loved his dogs, especially the Alaskan Malamute's.
Mario was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Catholic Church, in Wyalusing, PA.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Nicoletta "Nicki" Corvino on January 23, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Homer Funeral Home, 81 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853, with Rev. Jose Joseph Kuriappilly presiding.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation, July 27th 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM followed by his Memorial Service 1:00 PM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Inurnment Private.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
