Obituary
Mario Joseph Lucibello, 67, of West Haven died at his home on April 18, 2023. He will be forever missed by all those who loved him throughout his life, especially his family. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Angie Rondina Lucibello, for the past 44 years. Together they created a loving family of two children Ray (Christal) Lucibello and Mario (Emily) Lucibello. Poppy, as Mario was called by the apple of his eye, Brianna, was a beloved, funny, caring, and involved grandfather. Mario is also survived by his sister Madelyn Lucibello, also of West Haven, and he treasured the bond and memories the two shared.
Mario received his B.S. in Accounting as well as his MBA from the University of New Haven. He went on to work as an industrial engineer; first at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 35 years, and then at Milford Fabrication until his retirement just this year. An avid fisherman and hunter, Mario enjoyed his time as a lifetime member of the Guilford Sportsmen Association and the City Point Yacht Club. He spent many days with his family and friends fishing over the years and knew just how to hold the fish so that it appeared he caught the biggest one in the lake. Gardening and cooking also provided great enjoyment for him, while his family graciously enjoyed the fruits of his labor.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 21st from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home on the green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church, of Precious Blood Parish, Milford at 1 pm, also on Friday. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
