I remember Mario coming to Italy in the 60s, don't remember the occasion, but my father, Marziale Varano, a very good friend of Mario and his family, picked him up at the train station and took care of him the way best friends take care of each other. Back in the States, where I, Alida Mirarchi, Marziale's daughter, where I've been living for almost 60 years, picked up the friendship with Mario where it left off so many years ago when I was just a little girl. What can I say about Mario? a man of principals, hard working, who was lucky to be married to his beautiful wife Rosina, to have 3 amazing children, and a wonderful grand-daughter, and to share the best figs in Packer Park!!!! Mario, rest in peace and look down on us. you will be missed.
