Mario Frausto Talamantez Sr.

Mario Talamantez, Sr., 71, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2922, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Talamantez was born April 25, 1950 in San Angelo to Jose and Luisa Talamantez. Mario has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo where he was a 1969 graduate of Central High School. He attended Angelo State University. Mario married Hilda DeHoyos on September 9, 1972 in San Angelo. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2013. Mario was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a handyman and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Louise Romero and husband Pete of San Angelo; his son, Mario Talamantez, Jr. of San Angelo; four sisters, Amelia DeLaRosa, Edelmira Martinez, and Elida Zapatta all of San Angelo, and Alice Almaguer of San Saba; five grandchildren, Richard, Jacob, Jasmine, Payton, and Preston. Mario was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Ernest Talamantez, Joe Talamantez, and Romero Talamantez.
