Marion Jean (Miller) Devroy, 89, passed away on February 29, 2024 after a short illness. Marion was born on August 14, 1934 in Milwaukee to the late Frank and Olga (Habeck) Miller. She attended Peshtigo High School and graduated in 1952. On August 28, 1954 she married her high school sweetheart Jerry. After Jerry returned home from the Army, they built their home on Hale Road and spent the next 63 years raising a family and living there. Throughout her life the most important thing to her was always her family.
Marion was active in the Peshtigo Historical Society and worked as a curator at the Fire Museum for many years. She loved quilting and was quite the artist, creating many amazing quilts over the years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sister, Joan. She also enjoyed going to the Senior Center to spend time with her many very close friends. Marion was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and her strong faith and love of Jesus Christ was a guiding light in her life.
Marion is survived by a son, Brian (Christy) Devroy of Peshtigo; a daughter, Carol (Paul) Massoni of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Erin (John) Schwartz of Pierre, SD, Anna Massoni of Hayward, WI, and Vincent Massoni of Watertown, SD; three great-grandchildren, Jonah, Isabella, and Mason Schwartz; her sister, Joan Berth; daughter-in-law, Darcy (Randy) Cashatt; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her son, Wayne; her parents, Frank and Olga Miller; and her brother, Edward Miller.
A memorial service for Marion will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo on March 16, 2024. Visitation 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
Marion's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Aurora Medical Center, for your care and compassion.
