Ryan John Devroy, a man known for his humor and courageous spirit, passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 25. Born on September 29, 1998, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Ryan was the cherished son of Rocky Allen Devroy and Cynthia Christine (Fuchs) Devroy. His life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to those around him.
Ryan survived by his beloved son, Leo Devroy, who was the light of his life. His parents, Rocky Devroy of Ball Ground, Georgia and Cindy Devroy of Marine City, remember him as a source of endless pride and joy. Ryan's sister, Nicole (Frank) Burns of Eastpointe, and brothers, Michael (Stephanie) Dellow of Casco Township and Mathew (Kristen) Devroy of Rindge, New Hampshire, will forever cherish the memories of their brother's laughter and adventurous spirit. His girlfriend, Delaney Bomis of Ann Arbor, will miss his companionship and love. Ryan's nieces, Destine, Cali, Kyla, Kaitlynn, Skylar, Scarlett, Madalyn, and Abigail, will hold dear their fun-loving uncle's memory. His dog, Kygo, was a faithful companion who brought him immense joy. Ryan also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss his presence at family gatherings.
Ryan had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He spent many years framing homes with his brother Mike, where he not only honed his skills but also formed unbreakable bonds. His interests were diverse and deeply rooted in his love for sports, video games, and the UFC. He was an avid fantasy football player and his love for music and the performing arts was a testament to his appreciation for creativity and expression.
Ryan loved playing sports, especially football and baseball, which were a significant part of his younger life. He could often be found playing cornhole with friends and family. Building alongside his brother was not just a job for Ryan; it was a way to connect, create, and leave a lasting impact on the world.
Those who knew Ryan will remember him as a funny, courageous, and spirited individual. His ability to light up a room with his humor and his readiness to face challenges head-on will not be forgotten. Ryan's spirit and the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends.
Ryan's life, though far too short, was lived with a passion and enthusiasm that many aspire to but few truly achieve. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life's adventures. As we say goodbye to Ryan John Devroy, we celebrate the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.
A gathering and viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home, 222 N. Main Street, Marine City, MI 48039. Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate. A celebration of his life will follow at Mike and Stephanie's home.
His family suggests memorials for a fund for the future needs of his son, Leo.
