Marion James "Jim" Failor, 75, of Columbia passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
He was born in Quincy, IL on April 16, 1949, to James and Wanda (Bridgeman) Failor. Jim grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School. Following high school, Jim enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country with pride during the Vietnam War. Jim worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years at Willow Care in Hannibal, MO and then took a job working at the Brookstone factory in Mexico, MO where he was injured on the job and forced into retirement.
Jim enjoyed watching tv, traveling with Mary, loved joking around with people, and always enjoyed picking on Mary throughout the years. More than anything else though, Jim always loved spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Failor, son Jamie Failor (Charlene); two sisters: Ann Robison and Judy Stice; six stepchildren: Jimmy McIntire (Elizabeth), Janice Vandusen (Kelly), Sharon McGlasson (Dale), John McIntire, Karen Runyon (Aaron) and Ronald McIntire (Kandi), and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Shirley and Sandy.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Parker-Millard Funeral Service & Crematory, 12 E. Ash St., Columbia, MO 65203, and will be immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial with full military honors will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Memorial donations can be made to Coyote Hill, 1209 E. Walnut St., Columbia, MO 65201.
