Marion D Krumlauf

Marion Dorothee Krumlauf passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at the age of 83. She was born November 14, 1941 in Bronxville, NY, loving daughter of the late Heinz Herbert Bartling and Anneliese (Lange) Bartling.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Craybas and her husband Robert of Newtown, CT; a son David J. Krumlauf, Jr. and his wife Julia of Greenwich, CT, and 5 grandchildren. Her husband David J. Krumlauf predeceased her in 2022. She also leaves behind her brother Herbert H. Bartling of Nazareth, PA. Her brother, George, predeceased her.
After graduating from high school in 1959 she attended Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT majoring in Executive Secretarial Studies, receiving her Associate in Arts degree in 1961. She then lived and worked in New York City becoming Executive Secretary to the Editor in Chief of National Petroleum News (a McGraw-Hill magazine at the time). Upon her marriage in 1964, she moved to Bronxville, NY and then to Katonah, NY where she later had her two children. Returning to the workforce after a number of years, she worked as a secretary part time for the law firm Clark, Gagliardi & Miller in White Plains, NY, for Dansk Designs at their American headquarters in Mt. Kisco, NY, for the opera singer Berenice Bramson in Katonah, NY and finally took a full time job with Community Based Services in Croton Falls, NY as secretary to the Chief Executive Officer, retiring from there after 20 years of service in 2007.
She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Mt. Kisco, NY, serving for many years on its Council, as Altar Guild Chairman, and as president of their women's group. In addition, she played in the church's handbell choir for over 25 years.
After retirement she enjoyed making jewelry for the women's group craft fair at her winter retirement home in Delray Beach Florida, and performing volunteer work at her church in Mt. Kisco, NY.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Mt. Kisco, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Krumlauf's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 15 South Bedford Road, Mt. Kisco, NY or to the Highland Park Association, 14655 Barwick Rd., Delray Beach, FL 33445.
