Marion Michael Lester, Mikie to his friends and family, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at his home in Shreveport, LA. Arrangements are being held by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA. A vigil and rosary service will be held at 5 pm and the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, July 28, 2023. There will be a graveside service at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti, LA at 9:30 am July 29,2023, with Rev. Gus Dutch Voltz officiating. Repast will be at Nativity Catholic Church hall following the graveside services.
Although Mikie has left us to live eternally with God, his family, and friends that preceded him, he will forever be remembered for his steadfast love for God, his daughter, family, and friends. He will be missed but will live on through the many lives he has touched.
He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy Elizabeth Grappe Cooper, father George Lester and his daughter Kristyn Nicole Lester. He is survived by his Step-Father Bobby Cooper, Jr. and his two brothers: Chad Lester and wife, Berenice; Marlin Lester and wife, Kristi, and 5 nieces and 2 nephews- Caitlin Lester, Kyle Lester, Kaleb Lester, Karen Hernandez, Danielle Lester, Mallory Lester, and Marley Lester. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Lester, Kyle Lester, Joey Antilley, Randy Stewart, Pablo Leon, Edgar Leon, Christopher Grappe, Brad Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Lester, Hunter Rabalais, and Mike Whitford.
