I just want to speak the Name of Jesus Over every heart and every mind I know there is peace
within Your presence I speak Jesus I just want to speak the Name of Jesus 'Til every dark
addiction starts to break Declaring there is hope and there is freedom I speak Jesus Your name
is power Your name is healing Your name is life Break every stronghold Shine through the
shadows Burn like a fire I just want to speak the Name of Jesus Over fear and all anxiety To
every soul held captive by depression I speak Jesus Shout Jesus from the mountains And
Jesus in the streets Jesus in the darkness over every enemy Jesus for my family I speak the
holy name Jesus.

Butch served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. E5 Petty Officer 2nd Class from 1961 to 1966, on the
USS Henrico (5 years, 2 months, and 12 days-they extended his enlistment a little over a year because of
special circumstances, his position was vital, and he was needed aboard ship) He was in the engine room
on a troop carrier. He did his training in the United States Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois in
1962, Company 206 and was also in San Diego, Hawaii, Japan and of course Vietnam during his
enlistment. The discipline and hard work he learned while in the Navy and from his mother created a man
who ironed his and Tracie's jeans, folded towels and sheets differently than Franza did, did
laundry and would not wear any new clothing until it was washed many, many times. His
drawers were always neat and clean.
Butch worked for Gibson, Hightower, and then at Southwestern Bell until he retired to care for
his grandsons. He and Franza bowled on a SBC Bowling league and loved his horses,
especially Tony, especially.
Butch was a lineman, and cable splicer for Southwestern Bell and had many friends on that
team, especially Dennis Elkins. He was trained in D-186.2/Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing Method.
Although Butch worked for the phone company, he never answered the phone himself until
called ID came out. He did not like talking on the phone. To help with his work at the phone
company, Butch completed classes at Moore-Norman Vocation-Technical Center in Industrial
Electronic-Direct Current and Alternating Current in 1994 and 1995.
He married Franza Allen-Janes-Schrader in 1980 and they were busy raising five girls. He was
the most generous, loving father and grandfather and his whole life was the girls and then the
grandchildren. Butch never disciplined the girls, he left that to Franza, but they always knew
when he was upset with them. Butch gave of himself to help with the care of the children and his
wife when she became ill, cooking, doing laundry, buying groceries, taking care of cars and
taking care of the members of his family, ironing the girls clothes and braiding their hair so it
would be curly the next day, helping with homework and doing lots of repairs and improvements
to the home they all shared.
He was a member of the Edmond First Baptist Church and a faithful, silent, humble servant for
the Connection Group and for his wife and children. He never liked missing church and he
faithfully got up early to read and study the Bible. He was saved June 20, 1983 while Franza
was Training with CWT and of course with the timing of God's plan.
He was also a member of the Arcadia Rescue Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist
Association, where he served as Road Captain for many years, set up tents to supply help,
water and prayer for riders on different charity rides. He started cooking lunch for the Edmond
Police Motorcycle Safety Classes and did so for many years. He was also a servant in this
organization, caring for the gear and keeping the trailer forf the chapter. Serving as Road
Captain and helping with the Ministry Tents stretched him beyond his comfort zone, he is a quiet
person but saw the need to witness to all those who came to the tent. He drove many miles,
pulling the trailer with all the supplies. He took his grandsons and two of his daughters to the
meetings where they participated in the chapter also.
Butch would get up at 3:30 am to take one grandson to work and would pick up another one at
10:00 pm. He loved the boys and wanted to give them a place to live and grow. He was the
most unselfish person that his wife has ever known and he will be surely missed.
Franza's brother, Lyndon, told her the morning that Butch passed that it was the Saddest Day of
her life and the Happiest Day for Butch. So true as we know now that he is not in pain and is
with his Savior and Lord, Jesus.
