After high school, Marissa attended Fairmont State University to become a veterinarian assistant. Marissa enjoyed reading, writing stories, listening to music, baking and swimming with her daughter Maci, and riding horses. She had a deep passion for animals. Marissa was really known for her charismatic personality and making people laugh. She attended Jewel City Church with her mother and daughter. The love of her life was her daughter, Maci Grace.
Left to honor her memory are her mother, Jill McClung, daughter Maci Crim, sister Gabriella Cosco, three half-brothers Bryan Joseph Crim, Dustin Michael Crim and Gabriele Anthony Crim, grandparents James R. Heston of Fairmont, Sigrid Surkala of North Carolina, and Glorissa Garcia of Florida.
Marissa was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Joseph Crim.
Friends may gather to remember Marissa at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, on Thursday August 8, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Aaron Cayton officiating. A burial at Grandview Memorial Gardens will follow.
