Marjorie Bloomquist Obituary

Bloomquist, Marjorie P. age 85, of Golden Valley, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at North Memorial Medical Center Hospice, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Marjorie was born September 26, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter of the late Peder and Helen Langvand. She married Roy R. Bloomquist on December 17, 1945. He survives. Marjorie served her country during World War II, as a Wave in the United States Navy, and was stationed in Seattle. Marjorie received a degree in music from the University of Minnesota. Survivors include her husband, The Rev. Roy R. Bloomquist, of Golden Valley, Minnesota; one daughter, Beth ‘Leila' (Steve) Sarset, of Omaha, Nebraska; one son, Daniel (Terri) Bloomquist, of Minneapolis; one granddaughter, Sarah Sarset, of Omaha, Nebraska; one step-granddaughter, Stephanie Sarset, of Mason City, Iowa; and one sister, Pauline (Keith) Williams, Grand Junction, Colorado. Marjorie was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Berggrin. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minnesota. Her witness for Jesus is in the following hymn: "All that I have, is in Jesus. All that I lack, He supplies. I live not, tis He that liveth in me. And I am complete in Him."

We will all miss Marjorie and her lovely smile. Even her eyes smiled! Remember, Jesus said,"Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. John 16:22. You will see Jesus, (and Marjorie again.)
