MARJORIE FREEMAN Obituary

Marjorie Freeman, 83, of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. She was born on January 5, 1942, in Wellsboro, a daughter of John and Rachel (Brown) Hastings. Marjorie was married to Jack Freeman for 66 years. She attended Marsh Creek Fellowship Baptist Church. Marge worked and retired from Dr. Gafford's office.
Marjorie is survived by her husband; a daughter, Trina (James) Bolduc of Valdosta, Ga.; a son, John (Julia) Freeman of Wellsboro; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William "Bill" (Cindy) Hastings of Syracuse, N.Y., and Richard (Linda) Hastings of Holiday; and a sister, Margaret Hastings of Wellsboro.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Hastings and Stanley Hastings.
A private funeral will take place at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Knoxville. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
