Marjorie Arlene Pell Kerst, affectionately known as Margie to family and friends, age 82, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and former resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2024, at her home.
She was the youngest of three children born to Eugene Thomas and Marjorie Helen Steadman Pell. Margie was born in Ripley, New York on June 20, 1942. She was a perpetual member of the Order of the Eastern Star and several organizations; she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling. She saw all fifty states, Canada, England, Scotland, and Wales. She retired from CCCUA with over 22 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Steadman Pell.
Margie is survived by two sons and daughters-law, Donald Eugene and Theresa Kerst of Lubbock, Texas, William Lee, Jr. and Leslie Kerst of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Ann and Paul Stewart of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Breanna, Amber, Ashley, Aaron, James, Ryan, Adam, Jeffrey, Brad, Shelby, Emily; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Sidney L and Sally Pell of Springfield, Missouri, and a sister-in-law, Diana Pell of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Marjorie Kerst will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Copley officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
