Marjorie McCaslin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc - Milesburg (formerly Wetzler) on Jun. 16, 2025.
Marjorie J. McCaslin, 59, of Tyrone, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Born on July 24, 1965, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late E. Earl and M. Jane (Shaw) Flick.

On February 5, 1993, in Winchester, Virginia, Marjorie married the love of her life, John A. McCaslin, who preceded her in death on November 30, 2019. They shared a deep and lasting bond, and now they are reunited.

Marjorie was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. Known for her great work ethic, she worked in the environmental services department as well as independently helping others in their homes. However, her most prized job was being a loving devoted Mother and Grandmother.

She had a passion for QVC shopping and enjoyed visits to Erie to spend time with family and go on wine tours. Marjorie was a creative cook, known for putting her own unique flair into every dish-never one to follow a recipe exactly, yet everything she made was always delicious. She enjoyed watching afternoon soap operas and was a devoted fan of the show Heartland.

Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Jody L. Mattson (Jamie) of Erie, and Ellen J. McCaslin of Tyrone; and her beloved grandson, Caden Mattson. She is also survived by her six siblings: Teri Mantle (Joey) of Blanchard, Carol Perryman (Jim) of Unionville, Ed Flick (Marie) of Centre Hall, Peg Brooks (Eric) of Centre Hall, Deb Poole (companion Jr.) of Unionville, and George Flick (Cathy) of Julian; as well as many nieces and nephews. A special mention goes to her faithful companion, Charlie the dog.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Flick.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by a funeral service at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg, with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Burial will be private at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., in Milesburg, PA. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
