Marjorie Eva Osterman, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 27, 1947, to Bertram and Shirley Broddle, Marjorie lived a life filled with devotion to her family, faith, and community.
A graduate of Friends University, Marjorie shared her knowledge as an instructor at Wichita Business College and served as a dedicated church and school secretary for many years. Her musical talents brought joy to countless services as she played the organ at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Known for her culinary gifts, Marjorie’s kitchen was a warm gathering place where she created cherished memories with her loved ones.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Bertram and Shirley Broddle. She leaves behind her husband, Edward Osterman; her sons, Michael, Allan, and Jason Osterman; her brother, David Broddle; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her love forward.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway, with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Friends and family are invited to share condolences at www.cozine.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Cozine Memorial Group-Broadway Mortuary.
