Marjorie F. Sargent, age 93, died on November 5, 2025 at Generations Memory Care.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Garden City Cemetery.
Marjorie was born on January 15, 1932 in Lake Belt Township, IA to Gordon and Myrtle (Showers) Gardner. On July 11, 1949, Marjorie was united in marriage to Lewis Sargent in Garden City. Marjorie and Lewis farmed together for many years in Garden City. She was a bus driver for the Garden City Schools for over 20 years. Marjorie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Garden City. She enjoyed cooking and baking, canning, sewing, and gardening.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Jim (Jeanine) Sargent, Karen (Ross) Winger, and Caryl (Milt) Zernechel; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; brother, Dale Plumhoff; and sister-in-law, Kathy Cornish. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lewis.
